Stock Check: 6/27/14
It's time for my second ever Stock Check. Honestly, I'm a little surprised tbat I remembered to do it. This post is a couple of days late, but here it is nonetheless. Since the last Stock Check took place after the last pay-per-view, this article will cover everything that has happened since then. For a refresher, the format is as follows: five superstars/teams are up, three are even, and five are down. Also, for the first time, TNA and NXT stars can be featured on this.
Up:
Bo Dallas- Dallas was thrown over the top rope in the Battle Royal last week on Raw, but he is still undefeated in singles matches. Not only that, his antics and mic work have become increasingly entertaining. Go back to last week's SmackDown for proof of that. He's started gaining some serious traction and has managed to establish himself as a presence every week. That's not easy to do. The only problem: he's currently not on the Money in the Bank card, but that could change.
Roman Reigns: The former tag team champ is finally on his way to establishing himself as a singles star. On this week's episode of Raw, the show ended with Reigns in the ring staring down Triple H and Randy Orton. WWE is clearly portraying him as the favorite to become the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion. It remains to be seen whether or not that will actually happen, however.
Seth Rollins- Ever since he joined The Authority, Rollins has established himself as a top heel. He's even been handpicked by Triple H to become the next Mr. Money in the Bank. On top of that, Rollins has performed well in the ring. Also, it looks like he will be feuding with Dean Ambrose for at least the next month, meaning Rollins has direction going forward.
Dolph Ziggler- The Showoff had a great match with Bad News Barrett for the Intercontinental title on Raw. On top of that, he's also competing in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match on Sunday, even though he lost a qualifying match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match to Alberto Del Rio.
The Wyatt Family- At the Money in the Bank pay-per-view on Sunday, all three members of the group will be competing in a title match. Bray Wyatt is in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match and Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are in the tag title match. All in all, it's been a good couple of weeks for the trio.
Even:
The Usos: The tag team chanps have been engaged in a relatively even feud with Harper and Rowan over the last number of weeks. It remains to be seen whether they can retain the title on Sunday, however.
Adam Rose- Rose is still undefeated, but he has yet to really do anything of note. It would have been nice to see him in the Battle Royal last week. If Rose doesn't get some real direction soon, there will be trouble for him.
Tyson Kidd- After a week or so of speculation, Kidd finally turned heel. He did so by abandoning Sami Zayn in a tag match on NXT. This should lead to a great rivalry between the two. The only reason Kidd has not moved up: multiple losses to Adrian Neville.
Down:
Cameron- There is definitely a heel turn coming for Cameron. Ever since Payback, she's been going after Paige, trying to get a match for the Divas title. Instead, her partner Naomi got that opportunity. When these two split up, it won't be good for Cameron. She's bad on the mic, not well-liked by fans, and possess very little in-ring talent.
Daniel Bryan- Of course we have to put Bryan on this list. Over the last few weeks, he hasn't competed in a single match and was stripped of his WWE World Heavyweight Championship. That's just about as bad as it gets.
Eric Young- Speaking of bearded underdogs who used to be world champion, what about EY? Last week, he lost his TNA World Heavyweight Championship to Lashley. Also, he's been getting overshadowed by other faces, including Austin Aries and Bobby Roode.
Titus O'Neil- The former Prime Timr Player has one of the worst gimmicks in the WWE right now. After losing a match, he gets angry and asks for another match, which he loses as well. Needless to say, he's picked up a lot of losses recently.
Mark Henry-The World's Strongest Man has been trending downwards for months now. Coincidentally, he hasn't had a real feud in months. He's being vastly underused at the moment. He could at least have a small rivarly. How about a match at Battleground with Cesaro?
Know any other superstar who is trending up or down? Comment and let me know.
