2016 Wrestling Examiner Awards
It's time for the third-annual Wrestling Examiner awards. It's a tradition that has slowly grown over the years. This year will be our biggest one yet. We'll hand out awards for six different promotions and award some overall awards. We'll also give you the previous winners (if available) for those who are interested. Let's get started. NJPW: PPV of the Year: Wrestle Kingdom 10 For those are unaware of Wrestle Kingdom, it's New Japan's version of WrestleMania. It always features the biggest matches and biggest stars. In the tenth version of this event, we were treated to one of the best pay-per-views of all-time. The main event match between Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi was the cumulation of a feud that spanned years. It was an emotional passing-of-the-torch moment that saw Okada become the promotion's new ace.
