Impact Wrestling Power Rankings: March 8th, 2021
We are now less than a week away from Impact's next big show, and it's shaping up to be a good one. Already booked for the show are some big matches, including a headliner between the company's two World Champions. Survivor Series, eat your heart out. Here's how the company is looking heading into the go-home episode of Impact.
Men:
1. Moose (Last Week: 1, Weeks in Rankings: 3, Peak: 1): Neither Moose nor Rich Swann had a match on this week's show, but we should see them next week before Sacrifice.
2. Rich Swann (Last Week: 2, Weeks in Rankings: 2, Peak: 2): Swann got a vignette hyping him up and his accomplishments thus far.
3. Ace Austin (Last Week: 4, Weeks in Rankings: 3, Peak: 3): I was a big fan of the opening three-way match that featured Austin, Black Taurus, and Chris Bey. Austin picked up the win and is now the #1 Contender for the X-Division Championship.
4. TJP (Last Week: 4, Weeks in Rankings: 3, Peak: 3): TJP slips a spot after a second straight week of no in-ring action.
5. Brian Myers (Last Week: 5, Weeks in Rankings: 3, Peak: 4): He may have lost to disqualification to Eddie Edwards on Impact, but he did look impressive in the match and all of the focus was on him.
Knockouts:
1. Deonna Purrazzo (Last Week: 1, Weeks in Rankings: 3, Peak: 1): Purrazzo picked up a big win in the main event of this week's show over Jordynne Grace and Kiera Hogan.
2. Tenille Dashwood (Last Week: 2, Weeks in Rankings: 2, Peak: 2): Thanks to Kaleb With a K, Dashwood picked up a huge win over Havok.
3. Alisha Edwards (Last Week: 5, Weeks in Rankings: 2, Peak: 3): Yes, she hasn't wrestled in three weeks, but seeing as both Grace and Havok lost...
4. Jordynne Grace (Last Week: 3, Weeks in Rankings: 3, Peak: 3): Getting pinned by Purrazzo knocks Grace down one spot.
5. Havok (Last Week: 4, Weeks in Rankings: 3, Peak: 4): While she may have lost to Dashwood, it looks like Havok got her tag team partner back.
Tag Teams:
1. The Good Brothers (Last Week: 1, Weeks in Rankings: 3, Peak: 1): The Good Brothers teamed up with FinJuice to pick up a win in an eight-man tag match. Afterwards, it was announced that a title match between the two teams would take place at Sacrifice.
2. FinJuice (Last Week: 4, Weeks in Rankings: 3, Peak: 2): That aforementioned eight-man tag match was more of an angle than a proper match, but at least it got us where we needed to go.
3. Fire 'N Flava (Last Week: 2, Weeks in Rankings: 3, Peak: 2): The Knockouts Tag Team Champions drop a spot after Kiera Hogan came up short in this week's main event. Still, it should be noted that Hogan looked like she belonged in the ring with her more accomplished peers.
4. Decay (Last Week: 3, Weeks in Rankings: 3, Peak: 3): Black Taurus was the star of the opening match, but he still came up short.
5. Jordynne Grace & Jazz (Last Week: 5, Weeks in Rankings: 2, Peak: 5): Grace may have been pinned in the main event, but it was a good match.
