10 Stars we Want to See on the Main Roster

In terms of talent, the WWE product is at a fantastic level. The roster is chock-full of talented wrestlers, including Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler, and Sheamus. Even though this talent is not always utilized correctly, it's a delight to see it put together in great matches, such as Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt at the Royal Rumble, the Usos vs. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan at Battleground, and Sheamus vs. Cesaro at Night of Champions. However, there is always room for the roster to improve. And with the current talent pool at NXT, that is very possible.

The stars at NXT are well-proven wrestlers who can more than carry their weight on the roster. However, all of the wrestlers on this list are not all NXT stars, but they are associated with the WWE in some way. Let's check out the list.

10. CM Punk- Come on, did you really think Punk wouldn't be on this list? The list is for guys who we want to see on the main roster, and Punk is a guy we definitely want to see on the main roster. After all, his in-ring ability and mic skills are among the best the company has ever seen. Why wouldn't we want him back? Granted, a return by the disgruntled Punk is extremely unlikely, but we can still keep hoping.

9. Kalisto- One-half of the Lucha Dragons and one-half of the current NXT Tag Team Champions, Kalisto may not have spent a lot of time on the NXT roster, but he has made good use of his time so far. His lucha style has captivated the NXT audience many times. He has been booked well so far, which has only helped his stock. It is believed that he will be the successor to Rey Mysterio, who may never wrestle for the WWE again. If Kalisto is indeed the former WWE champ's successor, expect big things from him.

8. Finn Balor- The former Fergal "Prince" Devitt was one of the biggest names in NJPW when he signed with the WWE. This former indy darling has earned the respect of many fans worldwide for his in-ring prowess. We can hardly wait to see him mix it up with the likes of Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes.

7. Kevin Steen- Steen may not look like much, but he has made a career out of doing the impossible. Go on Youtube and watch any top moves of Kevin Steen video, I guarantee your jaw will drop. He possesses a lot of power yet is still quick and agile. If this guy can't make an impact in the WWE, no one can.

6. Charlotte- At NXT Takeover, we saw Charlotte beat Natalya for the vacant NXT Women's Championship. It was one of the best Diva matches of the year, without question. Though there was some doubt as to her wrestling ability prior to the match, all of that doubt has been erased. It's clear that Charlotte can prove her worth on the main roster and take on Divas like AJ Lee and Naomi in quality matches.

5. Sting- You would think we would put the greatest superstar to never compete in a WWE ring higher on our list, but the former WCW icon will have to make do with #5. Frankly, we've kind of given up hope that Sting will ever set foot in a WWE ring, let alone have a match. Nonetheless, the hope still remains. Call it foolish, but Sting's debut would be a defining moment in pro wrestling history.

4. The Ascension- The longest-reigning NXT Tag Team Champions of all-time ran roughshod over the NXT tag division before finally dropping their titles to the Lucha Dragons. With that loss, it now frees them up to move up to the main roster. There, they could have a very interesting feud with Jimmy and Jey.

3. Sami Zayn- The former El Generico is without question, one of the most talented stars in WWE or NXT. Watch any of his matches for proof of that. His two matches with Cesaro were both of exceptional quality, and we can expect more great matches when Zayn moves up to the main roster. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.

2. Adrian Neville- Last month, Neville made his Raw debut in spectacular fashion. Not only did he get the win for his team, he hit the Red Arrow, drawing many gasps from the crowd. That alone proved how ready Neville is ready for the big leagues. Some fans are worried that Neville will get lost in the shuffle (as so many other superstars have), but with the Red Arrow in his quiver, there is every reason to believe otherwise.

1. Hideo Itami- The former KENTA had a great debut at NXT Takeover: Fatal 4-Way. He's currently feuding with the Ascension, an interesting matchup. Out of all of the stars on this list, Itami is among the best wrestlers and workers. In fact, many fans regard him as one of the best talents in the entire world. Now do you know why we want to see him on the main roster?

As it usually is, we couldn't cover everyone on this list. We missed out on stars like Bayley, Corey Graves, Tyler Breeze, Willie Mack, and Kurt Angle (yes, there's a chance). Remember though, you can watch most of the stars listed on NXT, which is available on the WWE Network (for only $9.99!). If you feel like we missed anyone else, please comment and let us know.
