15 Superstars Who Should be on the Cover of WWE 2K15

According to Game Informer, wrestling fans will have to wait a bit longer now for the next wrestling game. It is now being reported that WWE 2K15 could be released as late as March 2015. WWE 2K14 released in October of 2013, which means there will be more than a one year wait for the sequel. Recent rumors have surfaced as to why the release has been pushed back, the most recent of which have involved a certain former WWE star (more on that later). There have also been numerous rumors about the game tying in with WCW and The Monday Night Wars. If so, the game should be a lot of fun to play. Another topic: who will be on the cover. Will it be a WWE Superstar, or if there is a WCW mode, someone from WCW? In this article, we'll look at the fifteen superstars (in order) who most deserve to be on the cover .

15. Paige and AJ Lee- Yes, this is a bit of a stretch, but you can't deny that they deserve it. In terms of in-ring talent, future potential, and mic skills, they are the best Divas in the division. No Diva has ever been on the cover of a WWE video game, so having these two on there would be pretty cool to see.

14. Sheamus- The Celtic Warrior is pretty over with the fans and can always be expected to get a nice pop whenever he comes down to the ring. It would be pretty cool to see him on the cover. Maybe his body is covered by a shadow, but we can still his orange hair? That would work, but there are better options.

13. Evolution- The stable's first run from 2003-2005 was very successful, but this run hasn't been so great. The group, sans Ric Flair, has captured the attention of the fans, but lacks the momentum it had during its initial run. While having Triple H, Batista, and Randy Orton dressed impeccably on the cover would look nice, it's a longshot.

12. Dolph Ziggler- Make no mistake about it, the WWE Universe loves Dolph Ziggler. Even during his recent run of floundering in the midcard, they have still supported him. Therefore, we can assume that they would buy a game which featured him. The only problem: Ziggler isn't a big enough star right now to merit the cover.

11. Cesaro- The former Real American is one of the hottest superstars in the WWE right now. Let's look at his special event record this year: he was one of the last seven superstars in the Royal Rumble, placed 4th in the Elimination Chamber for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, competed in the tag team championship match and won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania, and beat Jack Swagger and Rob Van Dam at Extreme Rules. Need I say more?

10. Ric Flair- The Nature Boy is one of the most respected wrestlers in the entire industry. On top of that, he's one of the most respected WCW stars ever. If there is a WCW mode in the game, Flair has to be on the shortlist to be on the cover.

9. The Wyatt Family- Think about it: how cool would it be to see these guys on the cover. Bray Wyatt could be sitting in a rocking chair while flanked by Luke Harper and a masked Erick Rowan. The only light would come from the lantern in Wyatt' s hands, the rest of their bodies would be in the shadows. Very few covers would be able to top that.

8. D-Generation X- If the new game is going to cover WCW, then it's certainly going to cover The Invasion and The Attitude Era. If we're looking at the Attitude Era, then we have to look at D-Generation X, one of the most popular stables in history. The best cover for this would be to have HHH, Shawn Michaels, The New Age Outlaws, and X-Pac on the cover with the D-X logo in the back.

7. Steve Austin- If we're going to look at the Attitude Era, how can we not look at its biggest draw: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. The Texas Rattlesnake epitomized the entire time period. Fans would buy the game simply by virtue of Austin being on the cover.

6. Brock Lesnar- At WrestleMania 30, one of the most shocking moments in WWE history occurred: Brock Lesnar pinned The Undertaker. Since then, we've only seen him once, but we're still very aware that he lurks in the shadows. Just by conquering The Streak does The Beast deserve to be on the cover.

5. nWo- The New World Order is one of the most famous factions in history, and an integral part of the WCW. If there is anything WCW related in the game, then the nWo deserves automatic consideration for the cover. There were many members of the group during its existence, but the ones who should be on the cover are the original trio: Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash. On another note, just having Hogan by himself would make a great cover. After all, he is one of the most iconic superstars of all time.

4. Goldberg- If you haven't guessed by now, the wrestler I was alluding to in the introduction was none other than Bill Goldberg. There has been a lot of speculation recently that Goldberg will compete at WrestleMania 31 or be inducted into the hall of fame in 2015. If so, he's an obvious candidate for the cover. Building on that, there could also be a Goldberg streak mode in the game, in which the player must try and win 173 straight matches with him. Now that The Streak is dead, this would be a great replacement.

3. The Shield- You only have to watch one episode of Raw to know that the Hounds of Justice are the future of the WWE. All three members are very talented and only in their twenties. Imagine how cool a cover with each one of them holding a fist out. This of course, only works if they are still together by the time the game comes out. If not, then a solitary Roman Reigns would also make a great cover.

2. Sting- When you think about WCW, the one superstar that comes to mind first is Sting. If you don't believe me, just consider his nickname: The Icon. Simply put, Sting is the most popular superstar to never compete in a WWE ring. If the rumors are true and he does sign a WWE contract within the next year, it's going to be awesome. It would make for an absolutely awesome cover.

1. Daniel Bryan- I just listed 14 other possibilities for who could be on the cover for WWE 2K15, now tell me tell you that Bryan will be on the cover. How could he not be? The Beard is one of the most popular stars in recent history. Remember how popular CM Punk was in 2012? Well, he got the cover for WWE '13. Sorry Sting and everyone else, but it looks like we'll be saying "Yes!" when the cover for WWE 2K15 is revealed.

No matter who is on the cover, WWE 2K15 should be a great game, especially if there is a tie-in with WCW. It's only a matter of time now.
