NXT TakeOver: New Orleans Predictions

It's time for our second predictions post of Wrestlemania weekend. It's time for us to take a look at what potentially could be one of the biggest TakeOver shows in NXT history. We have matches for all three NXT titles, a ladder match for a new title, and a match dealing with one of the best feuds in NXT history. Let's get started.

Unsanctioned Match- If Gargano wins he is reinstated, if Ciampa wins Gargano is banned from NXT
Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa

If you're reading this article, you're almost certainly aware of the history between these two so I won't go into detail here. If you're not familiar with this story, just know that this is potentially the best feud in NXT history. It's extremely personal between these two and these two should put on a great match. The stipulation of Gargano's job on the line makes this a little obvious. They can't have Gargano lose and then just bring this story to an abrupt end. However, it would give Ciampa nuclear heat if he beat Gargano.
Who should win: Tommaso Ciampa
Who will win: Johnny Gargano

Ladder Match for New NXT North American Championship
Adam Cole vs. EC3 vs. Killian Dain vs. Lars Sullivan vs. Velveteen Dream vs. Ricochet

Words cannot express how ready for this match I am. It's about time NXT got a secondary championship, the amount of talent on its books necessitates it. The talent in this match is unfathomable and all of these men would be great inaugural champions. As soon as I heard about this match (damn spoilers), I picked Dream to win. The man oozes charisma from every pore and is an absolute delight to watch in the ring. But then, EC3 debuted. And it was excellent. He's keeping the same 1% gimmick from TNA and with one promo established himself as one of the top heels in the promotion. He 100% deserves to win this title. Of course, let's not forget about Ricochet. The fact that it's a ladder match makes him an immediate contender.
Who should win: EC3
Who will win: EC3

NXT Women's Championship
Ember Moon (c) vs. Shayna Baszler

It took me a while to get on board the Baszler hype train but now I am in first-class. Baszler may still be a little green in the ring but she is a fantastic heel and is great on the mic. Moon, on the other hand, has been a little underwhelming as champion. Her win over Baszler in January was pretty much a fluke and she hasn't had any great matches. Plus, by putting the title on Baszler, we could see her then defend the title against Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane.

Who will win: Shayna Baszler

Triple Threat Match for NXT Tag Team Championship & Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic
The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole & Kyle O'Reilly) (c) vs. Authors of Pain vs. WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne & Roderick Strong

First of all, shoutout to Cole for pulling double duty on this show. As far as I can tell, this is the first time it's happened on a TakeOver. This of course was necessitated by Bobby Fish's injury. And while he certainly won't win the NXT North American Championship, he's a lock to win here. AOP is set for a main roster call-up any day now so they won't win here. The team of Strong and Dunne has been fun but it's definitely just a temporary alliance.
Who should win: The Undisputed Era
Who will win: The Undisputed Era

NXT Championship
Andrade "Cien" Almas vs. Aleister Black

Almas has been an excellent champion. His series with Gargano was incredible and he's an excellent heel. Black meanwhile, is still undefeated as a singles competitor and has beaten stars like Hideo Itami, Killian Dain, and Adam Cole. He also beat a pre-Zelina Vega Almas in his debut match. I predict Black wins here as Almas needs to move on to the main roster. Plus, who doesn't want to see the former Tommy End as champ?
Who should win: Aleister Black

Thanks for reading everyone.
